F’acon and V-egg Marshmallows for Breakfast?
Freedom Confectionery launch the world’s first plant based all day breakfast marshmallow.
With more and more Brits taking up a meat-free, vegan diet, allergen-free, vegan mallow specialist, Freedom Confectionery, has announced it is expanding its range of vegan mallows for the breakfast market.
The brand will launch the world’s first limited edition hickory smoked bacon and egg flavoured marshmallows, F’acon and V’egg, later this year, giving vegans a new meat and dairy free breakfast alternative to enjoy alongside their morning cup of coffee.
As with all un-coated Freedom Confectionery marshmallows the F’acon and V’egg are 14 allergy free – leaving nobody out!
Research conducted by Freedom Confectionery during this year’s Veganuary revealed that 99% of vegans miss bacon and egg the most when following a plant-based diet, so for Freedom Confectionery, partnering the two flavour combinations into a gelatine free marshmallow seemed like the obvious choice.
As the world’s only producer of 14 allergy free marshmallows, the brand wanted to create something egg-tra ordinary which would give vegans and those with food allergies that real bacon and egg flavour but with the fluffy, gooey texture of a marshmallow.
Elvin Willgrass, sales director at Freedom Confectionery said: “The research we conducted was overwhelming, vegans miss bacon and egg, so we thought why not combine the two flavours into a sweet marshmallow. The combination of sweet and salty works so well, we’ve seen over the last few years how flavours like salted caramel have become popular so why not sweet and salty bacon and egg?”
Ericka Durgahee, Marketing Manager at The Vegan Society, said: ‘the Vegan Trademark are so pleased to see brands coming up with innovative ideas with their products. Having been part of the initial testing of the new flavour, a few of us here also can’t wait to get our pre-orders in for more!’
At this stage Freedom Confectionery is only set to release 100,000 packs from May this year, and the brand expect demand to be incredibly high, so if you want your pack, you best pre-order now.
F’acon & V’egg will launch at a special promotional price of £2.00 – please register your interest below and we will keep you updated when the product is ready to ship.
